PDF QR Reader - Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how PDF QR Reader ("we", "our", or "the App") handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

1. Data Collection

We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data.

PDF QR Reader is designed to work entirely on your device. No data is sent to any external server, cloud service, or third party.

2. How the App Works

PDF QR Reader processes PDF files to detect QR codes, barcodes, and links. All processing occurs locally on your device using Apple's built-in frameworks (PDFKit, Vision, CoreImage). Specifically:

PDF files you open are temporarily copied to the app's sandbox for processing and are deleted when you close the document.
QR code and barcode scanning is performed entirely on-device using Apple's Vision framework.
Link detection is performed on-device by analyzing PDF text content.
Language preference is stored locally on your device using UserDefaults and is never transmitted.

3. Third-Party Services

PDF QR Reader does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or cloud services. The App does not contain any SDKs that collect user data.

4. Internet Access

The App itself does not require or use an internet connection. If you choose to open a URL or link detected within a PDF, your device's default browser or mail application will handle that action separately, subject to their own privacy policies.

5. Clipboard

When you explicitly tap to copy content (such as a QR code result or detected link), the App writes that text to your device's clipboard. This action only occurs upon your direct interaction and the data remains on your device.

6. Children's Privacy

The App does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The App is safe for use by all age groups.

7. Data Security

Since we do not collect or transmit any data, there is no risk of data breach from our side. All file processing occurs within the app's sandboxed environment on your device, protected by iOS security mechanisms.

8. Your Rights

Since we do not collect any personal data, there is no data to access, modify, or delete. Your PDF files are only accessed when you explicitly select them and are not retained after you close them in the App.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
